Our recommendation is to tip when receiving good service while in Cuba. So that the Cubans with whom you come in contact can purchase the items they need rather than bring random ̈gifts ̈ of which they may not need or giving them to strangers.
Update: The Covid-19 situation has certainly made essential items scarce or not available in Cuba so Espíritu Travel will be updating this information so that travelers may bring necessary items with them.
