How are Americans received in Cuba?
Americans in Cuba
Like all visitors to Cuba, Americans are welcomed by Cubans and will genuinely be curious to know where you are from. Cubans feel a close kinship to the U.S. not only due to the proximity but most Cubans have a relative and/or friends who reside in the U.S. Cubans aren’t necessarily outwardly friendly but most will be eager to engage in conversation if it arises. As Americans, they are eager to give you a warm welcome and discuss Cuban-American relations and the positive hope for the future. The best way to get to know Cuba and its people is from these spontaneous interactions.
