Cuba has a subtropical climate like Florida, with average temperatures of 77° F. Humidity is 77% in the dry season (Nov-Apr) and 82% in the wet season (May-Oct). The sun shines all year long. While the rain of the wet season is not often more than an inconvenience – torrential showers can be replaced with sun within the space of an hour. Late summer is hurricane season. Cuba experiences the lowest frequency of hurricanes and tropical storms in the Caribbean. It’s also worth noting that Cuba has highly developed disaster preparedness and civil defense networks for evacuations.
