If you want to see Cuba beyond Havana but don’t have much time, this 5-day trip plan will show you the best of Havana plus one of Cuba’s most incredible natural wonders — the endless tobacco fields and sprawling limestone hills of Viñales National Park.

Suggested Itinerary

Day one: Old Havana and Cuban Cuisine

After arriving in Cuba you are met by our local guide and whisked off to your accommodations.  The afternoon is spent getting your first glimpse of Old Havana, experiencing some of the culture and visiting the historic sites of the city.  As night falls get ready to embrace Cuban Cuisine at one of the many outstanding family-run paladares in Havana.

Day two: Havana, Inside and Out

Today you’ll get to check out the iconic sights of Havana, as well as visit Partagás Tobacco Factory. After learning everything about cigars, it is time to hop in a vintage American convertible car for a cruise along the Malecón and tailored to your personal interests. Finish the day visiting the community art project of Fusterlandía.  This evening experience Havana’s famously vibrant nightlife and dancing in a salsa bar, or check out some of the up and coming talent at one of the legendary Troubadour sessions.

Day three: Explore Havana

Today you can explore the city at leisure, using your new local knowledge to get you around town or ask us to organize something for you.

  • Private Culinary Field Trip

Day four: A Day in the Cuban Countryside

Wonder what life is like in the Cuban countryside?  Today you experience the slow and relaxed way of life in the tranquil farming town of Viñales. Enjoy horseback riding through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Valle de Silencio. You also visit a tobacco plantation. In the evening, relax at your retreat at a charming family run boutique B&B or enjoy live music at the cultural center in town.

  • Swim in the dazzling natural pool
  • Explore the caves of Gran Caverna de Santo Tomás
  • Enjoy the coolest (literally) cave restaurant/night club - El Palenque de los Cimarrones
  • Sunset hike over the Valley of Silence

Day five: See you later Cuba

Today, you leave the tranquility of Viñales to head back to Havana to catch your flight home full of memories of Cuba and wishing your stay had been longer.
